Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in a July robbery in the Western Addition neighborhood that was caught on surveillance video.

The robbery was reported July 5 near Laguna and Cleary streets.

Two suspects pistol-whipped and robbed a victim at gunpoint before fleeing in a newer-model silver Dodge Charger with a white rag behind the rear headrest, according to police.

One suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes, and was armed with a gun. The second suspect, also a black male, was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and dark shoes, police said. A third suspect was driving the Dodge and also remains at large. A detailed description of that person was not available.

The video is being made available through the Police Department’s new crime-fighting tool called “The Line-Up,” in which the public is encouraged to help solve cold cases by watching video footage of crimes online.
