Dim bulb accused of trying to knock victim’s lights out

Not quite a bright idea.

A man was attacked with a construction light in Eureka Valley on Monday, police said.

The 52-year-old victim was inside his home in the 100 block of Caselli Avenue just after 8 p.m. when he heard someone yelling and screaming in his front yard. He went outside and found a drunken 48-year-old man causing a scene.

The victim asked the belligerent boob to leave when he was struck in the chest by what police say was a construction light. The two men then began grappling and the victim was able to pin the boozed-up buffoon to the ground until police arrived.

The victim complained of pain to his chest but refused medical attention, police said.
