A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of shooting a man in the face last weekend during a residential burglary in Daly City.

Luis Alberto Gutierrez, 27, was taken into custody without incident in his hometown of Vallejo. He faces charges of attempted murder and burglary. Gutierrez allegedly shot a 43-year-old man just before 2 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Santa Barbara Avenue, police said.

Despite a bullet wound to the face, police said, the victim is expected to survive.
