A woman was punched by brass knuckles-donning thugs as she was walking with her husband in the Portola area early Tuesday, police said.

The 25-year-old victim told police that a group of five cowardly punks yelled obscenities at her from a car about 2 a.m.

At one point, two suspects got out of the car and assaulted the woman, causing abrasions to her leg and forehead, police said.

Her injuries from the attack were not considered to be life-threatening. No arrests had been reported as of Tuesday.
