S.F. woman catching Z’s on coastal highway busted for DUI

She was asleep at the wheel.

A San Francisco woman was arrested for drunken driving in Princeton on Monday after a sheriff’s deputy found her passed out in her car, police said.

Heidi Wood, 39, was parked in the No. 2 lane of the North Cabrillo Highway at Capistrano Road about 11 p.m. with the engine still running, police said.

The California Highway Patrol arrived to investigate whether Wood had been driving under the influence of alcohol and she was subsequently arrested, police said.
