Two men have been arrested in connection with the May 11 shooting in the Western Addition that killed
54-year-old James Earl Lee and injured a 27-year-old woman.

Kenneth Chappell, 33, and Curtis Cail, 20, both of San Francisco, were booked Friday on homicide charges related to the fatal shooting in the 1100 block of Turk Street, police Officer Albie Esparza said Wednesday.

About 9 p.m. May 11, police responded to reports of shots fired and found the pair on the sidewalk.
Lee died later at San Francisco General Hospital. The 27-year-old woman also was treated at the hospital and survived.

Chappell and Cail were identified as suspects after an investigation bolstered by evidence gathered at the scene, Esparza said.
