Woman rejected by homeless shelter hurls threats, dents car

A woman enraged after being banned from a homeless shelter in San Francisco was arrested Wednesday after police said she damaged a staffer's vehicle.

"I wish this was your head, I'm going to kill you!" the woman allegedly shouted while jumping on the car, denting the hood, just before 10 a.m. in the 1000 block of Polk Street, police said.

The staff member who owned the car said the woman was mad that he wouldn't accept her into the shelter. She threatened to kill staffers in the past, and did so again Wednesday, the staffer told police.

He asked to press charges. The woman was booked on charges of making terrorist threats and vandalism, police said.
