A man was stabbed numerous times in the back in a Mission district attack Thursday morning, police said.
The 29-year-old victim passed officers who were making a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Mission Street about 3 a.m., police Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The officers saw that the man was bleeding, Shyy said. They then realized he had been stabbed several times in the back and called for an ambulance. His injuries reportedly are not life-threatening.
But the victim was uncooperative with police and would not provide any information on the attack, Shyy said.
