A man was shot in the ankle in the Bayview district early Thursday, police said.
The 23-year-old victim had just left a friend’s house in the area of Osceola Lane near George Court about 1:30 a.m. when he heard gunshots, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. The victim felt a sharp pain in his ankle and realized he had
been shot.
A relative took the man to the hospital, but his injury was minor, police said. Cops spoke to the victim at the hospital, but he was uncooperative — even seeming uncertain of the shooting location.
