A gunshot was fired from a hillside in the direction of a police cruiser patrolling near India Basin Shoreline Park early Tuesday, police said.

Officers were in the area of Hunters Point Boulevard and Hudson Avenue about 12:15 a.m. when they heard the gunshot. They simultaneously saw a gun barrel flash coming from a nearby hillside, police said.

No injuries were reported. Police believe the shot was fired on the hillside between Marist Street and Harbor Road. A search of the area turned up no suspects, police said.
