Burglars rob man of sleep, then his stuff

A man was startled awake by burglars in the Crocker Amazon neighborhood Wednesday, police said.

The 37-year-old victim was asleep at his home in the 100 block of Baltimore Way about 9:20 a.m. when he heard strange noises from his living room, police Officer Albie Esparza said. When he went to investigate, he saw two men standing in his living room.

The unarmed burglars demanded the man give up his wallet, which he did, Esparza said. One of the crooks also took a cellphone and MP3 player.
