Pals bring Tenderloin shooting victim to SoMa hotel before hospital

San Francisco police dealt with two crime scenes early Wednesday after a man who was shot in the Tenderloin was brought by pals to a South of Market hotel.

Police responded to a hotel in the 200 block of Ninth Street just after 3 a.m. The victim, a man in his 20s, had a gunshot wound to his upper body that he had apparently suffered in the Tenderloin area, police said.

His friends picked him up, possibly in a taxicab, and brought him to the hotel. They then called 911 and the victim was transported to a hospital, police said.

His injuries are not life threatening.

Further information was not immediately available.
