Two women — aged 56 and 76 — were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being assaulted at a residence in the Sunset district Thursday night.
The suspect in the incident is an Asian male, who carried out the assaults during a home invasion and burglary attempt at a residence on the 1700 block of 20th Avenue, according to Sgt. Michael Andraychak of the San Francisco Police Department.
The 76-year old woman lives at the residence, and was assaulted during the home invasion. The 56-year-old woman arrived during the assault to deliver food, and was subsequently beaten as well by the attacker. Both victims were Asian.
Police say the suspect fled the scene in a light-colored sedan. No arrests have been made and the police are continuing to investigate the incident.
