Three robbed, one stabbed in Monday mayhem in San Francisco

Monday’s mayhem included three robberies with force and one stabbing.  

Post and Market streets
7:45 p.m. Monday

A 52-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed, police said. The victim was walking when she was assaulted by a man and woman both in their 20s. The victim tried to hold on to her purse but was “eventually overwhelmed,” police said.

Sacramento and Stockton streets
8:45 p.m. Monday

A thug in his 20s snatched a woman’s cellphone, police said. The woman was at a bus shelter with her phone in her hand when the crook came up from behind, grabbed the phone and fled.

Stockton and Filbert streets
10:30 p.m. Monday

A 25-year-old woman was tackled and robbed of her cellphone, police said. The brute was described as a man in his 20s.

2000 block of Mission Street
9:10 p.m. Monday

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the back, police said. The victim was involved in an altercation with a man in his 30s. During the altercation he was stabbed. He was treated for his nonlife-threatening injuries at the hospital. The man who stabbed him was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
