A man was stabbed to death early Thursday morning in the SoMa district, marking The City's first homicide of the new year.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, was found by officers at the intersection of Sixth and Stevenson streets at about 2:40 a.m., according to a release by Sgt. Michael Andraychak of the San Francisco Police Department.

The man was still alive, although bleeding from his stab wounds, when police found him. However, he succumbed to his injuries less than one hour later at a local hospital, Andraychak said.
No suspects have been arrested and the police are investigating the case, along with the Medical Examiner’s Office.
