In a city known for diversity it’s no surprise San Francisco police dealt with random assorted crimes this week, cops said.
Keith and Hudson streets
6:40 p.m. Tuesday
A man riding Muni was shot with a paintball gun, cops said. The victim told police that when three juveniles exited the bus he heard a loud pop he thought was gunfire and pain in his shoulder. He then saw his shirt covered in yellow paint. The paintball punks fled on foot and no arrests have been made, police said.
1600 block of Haight Street
9:50 p.m. Monday
Cops really had to defuse this situation, they said. A man exhibiting signs of mental illness said he wanted to blow up a local business. Cops brought him in for a mental health evaluation.
900 block of Ashbury Street
5 p.m. Tuesday
Police were called to clean up after a landlord-tenant dispute. A tenant reported being hit with a broom by his landlord, cops said. The landlord was charged with battery.
800 block of Vermont Street
Midnight Tuesday
This case was not quite a lock, cops said. A man and his wife woke up at 4:30 a.m. and discovered they’d been robbed. The victims said they went to sleep with their front windows and rear door shut but unlocked. When they woke up the front door was wide open and they were missing two laptops and two cameras. Police believe the crook gained entry through a second-floor window and left through the front door. The burglary is under investigation.
