A San Francisco man who said his drunk pregnant girlfriend was beating him got the story mixed up, police said. He was arrested Tuesday on charges of assault.

Police responded to a fight at a residence in the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue around 10:25 p.m. The pregnant woman initially refused to rat out her boyfriend, police said.

The boyfriend didn’t have as much consideration for her. Police say he told cops that she was drunk and pregnant and had hit and kicked him. She then spoke out, saying he kicked and hit her in the head, police said.

The cops determined the boyfriend was the primary aggressor and issued an emergency protective order, police said.
