Several violent robberies occurred in San Francisco over Columbus Day Weekend, police said.
A 25-year-old man was robbed at Golden Gate Avenue and Taylor Street around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, police said. Two goons in their 20s grabbed the victim’s arms and rifled through his pockets, stealing his cellphone.
Around four hours later in the 200 block of Charter Oak, a 42-year-old woman was robbed of her laptop, cops said. The victim was walking when a man aged 18 to 20 ran up and grabbed her bag containing the laptop. After a brief struggle, the punk prevailed and fled in a dark Honday, cop said.
Later Saturday, around 11:30 p.m., a woman in her 20s was robbed by four men in their 20s at the Twin Peaks lookout, police said. The thugs pulled up in a silver, 4-door Honda, jumped out of the car brandishing guns and demanded the victim’s property. They then fled with the victim’s purse, cash and cellphone.
Early Saturday morning, around 2:20 a.m., in the 400 block of Larkin Street, a 21-year-old man was robbed by some rowdy young men, cops said. The three crooks engaged the victim in conversation before pulling out a gun and going through his pockets. The fled with the victim’s wallet and cash, but those were returned after police responded and arrested the brutes, they said.
