An attendee of the Oracle OpenWorld convention in San Francisco was knocked to the ground and robbed of his iPad and event ID card in the South of Market neighborhood Tuesday night, police said.
The 36-year-old man was not seriously injured when a cowardly thug crept up behind him at Third and Minna streets around 11:15 p.m. The thug swept the victim’s legs, causing him to fall to the ground and drop his property, police said.
The suspect picked up the loot and fled on foot. There has been no arrest, police said Wednesday morning.
The victim is of one of 45,000 people estimated to be attending the annual Oracle convention at the Moscone Center, a five-day event that wraps up Thursday.
