A 32-year-old man helping a friend move had his teeth smashed in during a pistol-whipping robbery in the garage of an Excelsior district home on Tuesday, police said.
He suffered broken teeth, a split lip and a cut to the head when two thugs stormed into the garage in the 500 block of Vienna Street around 7:40 p.m.
The victim was with another friend when the vicious hooligans, described only as men in their early 20s, stormed into the garage.
One of the thugs whipped out a silver semiautomatic handgun with a black handle and pistol-whipped him. The other punched the second victim in the face, police said.
They demanded cash. The injured victim complied. The thugs fled in a dark vehicle.
There have been no arrests, police said Wednesday morning. The victim was transported to Kaiser Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
