An unnerved woman told police at Taraval Station that a man offered to pay $400,000 for her baby boy.
The incident happened along the walking path at Lake Merced, in the 400 block of John Muir Drive, around 2 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The woman reported the creepy offer to police on Friday. Police are investigating.
According to a report from The New York Post last month, a socialite bought a black-market baby for $180,000 before helping the FBI bust the child selling ring.
