A 27-year-old man was sliced in the side with a knife while being robbed in the Mission district Wednesday night, police said.

A thug in his mid-60s attacked the victim as he was walking in the 2000 block of Mission Street around 9:30 p.m.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. The robber made off with cash and a cellphone and has not been apprehended.
