The gangbanger believed to have shot another man in the foot simply because he wasn’t from his Bayview neighborhood is now in custody, police said Monday.
The shooting occurred Aug. 11 in the 1100 block of Oakdale Avenue. The victim, who was visiting his girlfriend, was shot in the foot, police at Bayview Station said.
After an investigation, the police gang task force identified the shooter, served search warrants and caught up to him on Sunday in the area of Revere and Hawes avenues.
He was spotted in the driver’s seat of a parked car. He was detained without incident and booked for attempted murder.
His identity was not immediately available.
