A 52-year-old man was shot in the buttocks while working on his car in the Bayview on Wednesday, police said.

The victim told police he heard about a half-dozen gunshots before realizing he’d been shot near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Bertha Lane around 11:45 p.m.

The injured man’s friend drove him to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

There is no description of the shooter available and no arrest has been made, cops said.
