The victim of an attempted street robbery was punched 20 times in the face for refusing to give up his loot in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.
The 41-year-old man was hospitalized with minor injuries after two thugs attacked him in the 1600 block of Newcomb Avenue, police said.
Three suspects drove up next to the victim just before 11 p.m. Two of the thugs got out of the car and demanded cash, police said. When the victim refused, he was assaulted.
The suspects fled in the car without any cash, police said. There have been no arrests.
