Crook says ‘forget it’ when robbery lacks big payoff

An apparently dejected armed robber said “forget it” when his victim told him he only had a few dollars on Sunday.

The would-be robbery was reported in the unit block of Ney Street near the Excelsior neighborhood around 3:30 a.m.

The victim told cops a thug pointed a gun at his face and said, “Give me what you got.”

The victim said he only had a few dollars, and the crook left him alone, police said.

A police search turned up no suspects, but the victim told cops he could identify the robber if he saw him again, police said.
