Woman arrested for aggravated assault after knife fight

A woman was arrested in Bernal Heights on Thursday for stabbing another woman near her right eye, cops said.

The two women were in an argument around 10:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Ellsworth Street, police said. As the argument escalated both women pulled out knives and the 26-year-old victim was cut.

Michelle Singletary, 27, was arrested for aggravated assault and malicious mischief because at some point during or after the melee, a car’s tires were also slashed, Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.

The victim was treated at San Francisco General Hospital for her eye injury, which was not life threatening, police said.
