A woman with her child snapped a photo of a man allegedly defacing a brand new mural on the wall at Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack at 3355 Mission St.

The photo is featured in the Bernal Heights blog Bernalwood, which first reported the act.

According to Bernalwood, the woman who snapped a photo called police. Police caught the vandal, who was a regular at Emmy’s and who may have drug-induced mental health issues.

“The belief is that the defacement was not an act of malice,” according to the blog post’s author, Todd Lappin.
