The victim of an ax attack in the Excelsior district Sunday could not remember the incident after being kicked multiple times in the head, police said.
A witness told cops about the frightening beating delivered by an ax-wielding thug in the 200 block of Naples Street around 3:50 p.m.
The witness saw the thug swing an ax at the victim and kick him, police said.
“The victim could not remember what happened,” police at Ingleside Station said.
A suspect was later arrested for attempted murder in connection with the attack.
A motive for the attack was not immediately known.
