Richmond district man wakes up to home invasion nightmare

A 23-year-old man was tied up and held at gunpoint during a terrifying home invasion robbery in the Outer Richmond district Monday, San Francisco police said.

The man had been sleeping and woke up to a handgun pointing at him in the 1000 block of 32nd Avenue, police said Tuesday.

The gun-toting burglar, a man in his early-to-mid 20s, tied up the victim, selected a few items to steal, then fled in an unknown vehicle.

The robber made off with a cellphone, gold chain, laptop and iPod, police said.

The victim was not injured during the home invasion.

There have been no arrests, police said.
