A 20-year-old man was critically wounded in a gang-fueled shooting in the Bayview on Monday, police said.
The victim was shot in the shoulder after being asked which gang he belonged to in the 1400 block of Keith Street around 10:30 p.m., police Officer Albie Esparza said.
The victim denied he was in a gang, Esparza said. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police are hunting two gangbangers in connection with the shooting. They were described as males in their late teens. They fled the shooting scene on foot, police said.
