Bandits rudely awaken Outer Sunset man during home invasion

A 63-year-old Outer Sunset district man was rudely awakened Friday when burglars busted into his in-law unit and pulled the sheet off his bed, police said.

The man was asleep in the 1500 block of 44th Avenue around 11:30 a.m. when the two bandits gained access to the home through the front gate, police said.

They entered the garage area via an unlocked door and entered the in-law apartment. They pulled the sheet off the bed and, upon seeing the sleeping victim, fled the scene.

Police described the suspects as Hispanic men in their late 20s, about 5 foot, 7 inches tall and with medium builds.

There have been no arrests.
