A heartless thug punched a 69-year-old man in the face, knocked him to the ground and then robbed cash from his pockets in Daly City on Saturday.

The robbery occurred around 5:20 a.m. in the 6000 block of Mission Street, police said.

Daly City robbery detectives are hunting the predator.
