Three 16-year-old boys have been arrested for punching a woman in the stomach during a gunpoint robbery near the Sunnydale housing projects.

Around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, the suspects pulled a semi-automatic handgun on the 30-year-old woman in the 1500 block of Sunnydale Avenue, police said.

After punching her, they swiped her purse and ran into a nearby apartment. Police responded and soon had the suspects in custody.

The victim complained of stomach pain and was transported to the hospital, police said.
