A man allegedly caught committing a lewd act in Dolores Park on Saturday morning had a rather hard to believe explanation for a police officer.

The officer came upon the self-pleaser with his pants and underwear down around 8:20 a.m.

“The deviant declared that his pants ‘accidentally fell down’ and he decided that since his pants were down, he might as well have some fun,” police said.

He was cited for indecent exposure, police said.
