A 29-year-old woman was carjacked near Geary Boulevard and 24th Avenue early Friday morning by a man she met only hours earlier, police said.

The woman was driving the 35-year-old man home around 2:30 a.m., cops said. When the man started smoking, she asked him to get out of the car, but he refused.

The woman then got out of the car with the keys. The man also got out, snatched the keys, then began to drive off, police said.

But a patrol car pulled up to the scene and took the suspect into custody, cops said.
