No thanks to Turkey Day robberies

Two victims had little to give thanks for after being assaulted and robbed Thursday, police said.

A 19-year-old man was punched in the face and lost his cell phone after a robbery in the 1800 block of 25th Street just after midnight, cops said.

The victim complained of pain to his cheek, but refused medical attention, cops said.

More than an hour later, a 54-year-old woman was in the area of Polk and Sacramento streets when she was elbowed in the face and robbed, police said.

The brute got away with the woman’s purse, wallet and cell phone, cops said.

The woman was treated at the hospital for a bruised cheek, police said.

No arrest has been made in either case. Suspect descriptions were scarce in the police report.
