Cab driver robbed by gun-toting thugs

Police are hunting gun-toting thugs who robbed a taxi driver in the Bayview district early Saturday morning.

The hack picked up the thugs, described only as men in their 20s, in the 4800 block of Palou Street just before 2 a.m., police said.

After driving two blocks, the suspects asked the 57-year-old driver to take them back to the pick-up spot so they can get more cash.

As they exited the cab, one of the thugs pointed a “black pistol” at the hack. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone, police said.

There has been no arrest.
