A bunch of elm trees will be replanted in Golden Gate Park on Wednesday since a dastardly vandal sabotaged them last year around the same time the park’s momentous Rose Garden was slain.
The mystery was never solved, but Chase Freedom did donate $30,000 worth of elm to replenish the park’s greens at the Music Concourse.
Supervisor Eric Mar and other city officials will accompany the donors and the San Francisco Parks Trust for the replanting at 11:30 a.m.
And even though the Rose Garden took a blow, it is expected to survive.
