KUSF goes off the air, locks out DJs

The radio station, KUSF 90.3, has gone off the air.

KUSF reported Tuesday morning on Twitter that they were off the air and that the University of San Francisco had sold the station. They also said there will be an impromptu demonstration on the USF campus Wednesday at 7 p.m.

KUSF DJ Carolyn Keddy tweeted that when she showed up for her show the doors were locked.

The university posted a press release online explaining that the station will be moving to an online-only format and that the FCC license for radio frequency 90.3 will be assigned to Classical Public Radio Network.
