When you hear about an anti-corporate protest you usually figure it's by environmental or labor group. Today, protesting the CEO of the largest industrial conglomerate, is a bunch of free-marketeers.
You see, Jeff Immelt is spaking at the Jobs Summit of U.S. Chamber of Commerce today. Given Immelt's work steering GE towards cooperation with and dependence on Big Government, the folks at the Competitive Enterprise Institute find this inappropriate for a group that sings the praise of "Free Enterprise."
Here are highlights of the announcement:

Demonstrators Will Protest General Electric’s Jeffrey Immelt at Jobs SummitCrony Capitalist Job Killers Shouldn't Give Speeches on Free Enterprise
Washington, D.C., July 8, 2011 —  Freedom Action will hold a demonstration in front of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Monday from 12:30 to 1:15 PM to protest Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of General Electric, as the keynote speaker at the Campaign for Free Enterprise’s Jobs for America Summit.  The theme of the protest is: “Jeff Immelt: Job Killer.”
While the Chamber is a powerful advocate for free enterprise, Immelt is one of the worst people to speak on the subject of creating new jobs. Instead of promoting free market policies that would lead to robust economic growth and create millions of jobs, Immelt has used his political influence to lobby for government favors to benefit his company at the expense of American workers and taxpayers.  Immelt has been the leading big business advocate for cap-and-trade legislation that would raise energy prices and thereby make consumers poorer and destroy energy-intensive manufacturing jobs in the U. S.

They're singing my tune.
