Obama to speak on Libya in "very near future"

President Obama will explain his decision to intervene militarily in Libya and describe the U.S. role there going forward in his first address to the nation since Tuesday.
Obama will speak about "how he made his decision, what the objectives are and why he thinks it's the right thing," White House spokesman Jay Carney said Friday.
Obama also will explain why he chose to intervene in Libya, without taking action in Bahrain, Yemen or other countries experiencing similar political uprisings, Carney said.
The administration has not specified a time and date for the speech, apart from saying it would be in the "very near future," according to Carney.
