No exceptions. Sensitivity sessions will even be held on the battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan, Pentagon officials say, despite the fact that this is incredibly insensitive to the majority Muslim population of those two countries, most of whom view homosexuality as a violation of the Quraan at best and a capital offense at worst

 In December, President Obama signed a bill passed by the lame duck Congress to repeal the Pentagon's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which has been in effect since President Bill Clinton's administration. The Clinton policy amounted to a wink-and-nod system under which soldiers' sex lives would not be actively scrutinized, and homosexuals would not be discharged involuntarily from the military.
