SFPD cop car rammed in Oakland punk hunt

San Francisco cops lost sight of a man wanted in a violent kidnapping after the suspect rammed their car with his vehicle during a getaway in Oakland on Thursday.

No officers or civilians were injured in the 6 p.m. crash at 45th Avenue and International Boulevard, police said.

SFPD discovered that a suspect wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping might be in Oakland, and sure enough they found him, police said.

“The suspect appeared to recognize the officers and intentionally rammed the officer's vehicle with his vehicle while fleeing the scene,” police said.

The officers did not pursue the suspect, and the Oakland Police Department is investigating the incident.

The suspect’s identity was not released.
