It made perfect political sense for author Naomi Klein to speak in front of Wells Fargo at Occupy SF recently — for any consumer wanting to understand exactly what’s going wrong with the corporate world today, her books “No Logo” and “The Shock Doctrine: The Rise Of Disaster Capitalism” are required reading.
But today, Occupy SF will reportedly be getting a boost from the entertainment world, as well, when Audioslave/Rage Against The Machine rocker Tom Morello drops by Justin Herman Plaza to play for the faithful at 4 p.m.
Morello is in town tonight at Great American Music Hall, in alter-ego guise as The Nightwatchman.
Opening his GAMH show is The Coup’s socially conscious Boots Riley (and his partner in yet another outfit, The Street Sweeper Social Club), who himself just played Occupy Oakland. So diehard fans can catch Morello twice today.
