Bridge School Benefit Concert lineup announced

OK, it’s finally been announced, and tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 16, at www.livenation.com.

Yes, you’re correct — it’s the 25th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts, held once again at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on Saturday Oct. 22 and Sunday Oct. 23.

Saturday’s show begins at 5 p.m. and Sunday’s at 2 p.m.

Prices range from $39.50 for lawn seats to $75 and $150 for reserved.

And master of ceremonies Neil Young has truly assembled a great lineup this year, with all proceeds benefitting The Bridge School, a program for the communication and educational development of children with severe speech and physical impairments.

The all-star, always-acoustic roster?

Check it out: Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters (Sunday only), Eddie Vedder, Los Invisibles (featuring Carlos Santana, Cindy Blackman Santana and guests), Beck, Mumford & Sons, Tony Bennett (Sunday only), Diana Krall (also Sunday only), Jenny Lewis and more special guests.

Again, the event was organized by Young and his wife Pegi. Great music for a good cause — what October weekend could be better spent?
