Nashville mainstay Tim McGraw currently has the No. 1 country single in the United States and Canada — “Felt Good On My Lips,” a bonus track culled from his recent two-disc “Number One Hits” package for Curb.
He also happens to be the No. 1 Country Touring Act of 2010, according to a Billboard tally.
To date, he’s sold 40 million records, and won three Grammys, 11 CMAs and countless other plaudits. And he’s currently plotting his spring Emotional Traffic Tour, with openers Luke Bryan and family combo The Band Perry. The juggernaut is sponsored by (of course!) Outback Steakhouse.
But that’s not why you’ll be seeing him all over TV this week.
McGraw will be on “The Late Show With David Letterman” tonight, “Good Morning America” and Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, plus bookings with Chelsea Handler on Thursday and Martha Stewart on Friday. And he’ll be plugging his new starring role in “Country Strong,” where he appears alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester of “Gossip Girl”.
And if you’ve seen any of his past performances, a la “Friday Night Lights,” you know the guy can really chew up the scenery.
