Bank robbed in downtown SF Embarcadero Center

A bank inside a downtown San Fransisco shopping center was robbed Thursday afternoon by a man who said he had a gun, according to police.

The robbery happened around 1:30 p.m. at a branch of Comerica Bank inside One Embarcadero Center near the intersection of Battery and Sacramento streets.

The suspect has been described as a grey-haired, goateed man who wore a baseball hat and a button down shirt.

According to police he handed a 25-year-old female teller a note demanding money. The man, described as being between 40 and 50, then told her he was armed. The teller handed him an unknown amount of money and then he ran away.
