A woman's attempt to use a fraudulent credit card as bail money led investigators Tuesday to an apparent scam operation in San Francisco's Forest Knolls neighborhood.

After learning they'd been duped, bail bondsmen tracked the unidentified 30-year-old woman to the 400 block of Warren Drive, just west of Mount Sutro. The woman apparently wasn't around, but a credit card fraud operation was discovered. Police were called to the scene about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Several blank credit cards, a ledger with numerous names and credit card numbers and a false ID card were seized, police said.

Officer Albie Esparza said Wednesday the investigation is ongoing and that further details were not immediately available.
