A man was robbed at gunpoint at a Bayview laundromat Wednesday, while a drug store in the Western Addition was also robbed by an armed man during a separate incident earlier that day, police said.
The 41-year-old man had a gun pressed against his head while at the laundromat on Third Street at Quesada Avenue, police said. The suspect grabbed the victim’s necklaces, which were lightning bolt and eagle pendants, before fleeing on foot around 9:30 p.m.
The suspect was described as a man between 25 and 30 years old with a black handgun. The victim was uninjured.
In the Western Addition, a masked man with a brown handgun went into a store on Franklin Street near Ellis Street around 6:15 p.m. and handed an employee a note demanding prescription pills, police said.
The employee, a 35-year-old woman, handed over the pills and the masked man fled southbound on Franklin Street on foot.
No arrests were made in either robbery.
